Breast Cancer Awareness Programme

Vintage Car Rally and Fashion Show by breast cancer warriors followed by awareness program and dinner.
Vintage Car Rally was flagged off from National Stadium, New Delhi and was flagged in at Tivoli Garden, New Delhi followed by the breast cancer awareness program by screening our super successful educational film titled We Can Defeat Breast Cancer, a Fashion Show by the breast cancer warriors wherein young breast cancer survivors walked on the ramp followed by dinner.
The owners of 35 Vintage Cars and 12 Vintage Bikes came forward to drive for the cause. 1or 2 breast cancer survivors accompanied the car owners in the cars and on bikes. They all wore pink dresses as pink is the colour for breast cancer.
12 breast cancer survivors walked on the ramp. There were two rounds with six survivors and they were accompanied by six male models. These survivors call themselves – THE WARRIORS. They are real warriors and spread happiness all around. Three cheers to them.
There were approximately 500 guests and every single guest appreciated the event.

A lyrical harmony of music, theatre and audio-visual effects, that has won kudos from audiences all over India and abroad. The show artfully blends the performance of singers and actors who interact with large-screen projection of film clips, making music come alive on stage.
Gulzar…Baat Pashmine Ki, is based on the life and works of the renowned Poet, Lyricist, Writer, and Director Gulzar ji.
Launch of a new educational film, titled ‘We Can Defeat Breast Cancer’

Forum for Breast Cancer Protection, launched its second educational film, titled ‘We Can Defeat Breast Cancer’.
The Chairpersons of the Forum, Dr. (Mrs.) Ramesh Sarin, Senior Consultant, Surgical Oncology and Dr. (Col.) C.S. Pant, VSM, Consultant Radiologist, pointed out that most Indian women are unaware that early detection is the key to defeating breast cancer. Indian women do not conduct breast self-examinations or go for clinical screening, nor are they aware of the risk factors of the disease.
The new film tackles these issues head-on and presents the most salient facts that all Indian women need to know, in a friendly and conversational format. For the first time, 3 dimensional animation has been used to demonstrate the technique of breast self-examination.
Mrinal Pandey, Dr. H. K. Dua and Mrs. Anuradha Goel did the honours.
The launch was followed by a musical evening – “Black and White” – a story of an era of two colors and then dinner.
“Black and White” – The golden era of Hindi Cinema – which “painted” its screen with the best of poetry and music. “Black and White” travels through life of cinema from 1945 to 1968. The journey visits landmarks like K.L Saigal, Bimal Roy, V. Shantaram, and Guru Dutt. En route, we met the stylish Dev Anand, tragedy king Dilip Kumar, showman Raj Kapoor, the beautiful Madhubala, the classy Meena Kumari, and “Yahoo” Shammi Kapoor, to name a few.

Forum for Breast Cancer Protection launched the fourth educational film called – “Join The Crusade Against Breast Cancer”. The film is aimed at the General and Family Physicians and, Gynaecologists, in fact all medical professionals. Once again, the message will be that breast cancer is curable if it is detected early.
The launch was followed by a musical extravaganza, “Black and White”, a lyrical harmony of music, theatre and audio-visual effects, that has won kudos from audiences all over India and abroad. In 2013, the forum, in its endeavor to educate Indian citizens, is launched its 3 rd educational film on breast cancer awareness “Breast Cancer. Voices of Strength. Voices of Hope.” In this film, we have captured first person accounts from survivors, family members and doctors which bring alive a vast spectrum of issues and experiences.
The objective of the film is to provide the most important pieces of information that a patient of breast cancer needs to have in a friendly, easy to understand audio visual format.
Women Car Rally 2013
March 29th – 31st, 2013 | Delhi – Rishikesh – Dehradun
This was a two days event from Delhi – Rishikesh – Dehradun with 65 participants.
A car rally in TSD format (Time, Speed and Distance). Hotels Park Grand and SRS Laqshaya, Haridwar came forward to host the rally participants. Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant, Dehradun happily hosted the Prize Distribution Ceremony and Rally Ball on March 30, 2013.

September 25th – 26th, 2011 | Delhi – Jaipur – Delhi
During the awareness programme, the educational film- A Guide to Breast Self-Examination was screened to a local audience of 500 plus people. Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur volunteered to host the rally participants and the breast cancer awareness program for 500+ localities followed by dinner.
This was a two days event from Delhi – Jaipur and back with 60 participants to spread awareness that breast cancer is curable if detected early. A car rally in TSD format (Time, Speed and Distance).
Hotel Tivoli Garden, New Delhi happily hosted the Prize Distribution Ceremony and Rally Ball on September 25, 2012.

April 2nd – 3rd, 2010 | Delhi – Jaipur – Delhi
Our first ever educational film- A Guide to Breast Self-Examination was screened to a local audience of 700 plus people. Hotel Clarks Amer and The Fern, Jaipur came together and volunteered to host the breast cancer awareness program and the rally participants.
This was a two days event from Delhi – Jaipur and back with 80 participants. The car rally was organised in TSD format (Time, Speed and Distance).

Hotel Clarks Shiraz, Agra volunteered to host the breast cancer awareness program at the hotel. Our first ever educational film- A Guide to Breast Self-Examination was screened to a local audience of 500 plus people. This was a two days event from Delhi – Agra and back with 70 participants. A car rally in TSD format (Time, Speed and Distance).
Indian Motor Car Rally 2008
September 18 – 21, 2008 | Delhi-Bikaner-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Jaipur
The royal families of Bikaner-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Jaipur volunteered to host the breast cancer awareness programs in their respective cities in collaboration with Indian Medical Society. Our first ever educational film- A Guide to Breast Self-Examination was screened to a local audience of 400 plus people at each destination.
This was a four days event clubbed with the car rally with 12 participants. A car rally in TSD format (Time, Speed and Distance) wherein a proper road book with distance and speeds to be maintained are given to the participant (a team of two – driver and navigator). The navigator’s job is to calculate and guide the driver on speed to drive at and directions from the road book.

Launch of one of its kind educational film on Breast Cancer prevention and its early detection.
A Guide to Breast Self Examination: an educational film was launched to spread awareness on Breast Self Examination Techniques wherein 2 Cancer survivors actually took off their tops to demonstrate how to do a breast self-examination.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ramesh Sarin & Dr. (Col.) C. S. Pant, VSM along with Mrinal Pandey, Dr. S.H. Advani, and the Chief Guest for the evening then Women & Child development Minister Smt. Renuka Choudhury did the honours. Many other dignitaries like Vinod Dua, Babbal Sabharwal etc. along with approximately 750 people from all over the country attended the launch.
A musical Evening by Waves Musical Band headed by Drummer Deva from Bangalore, India followed by gala cocktail dinner to celebrate the launch of a one of its kind educational film on the said subject.
